The building journey
Building a home can be a daunting experience, especially if you do not know what to expect. Our team of professionals are here to guide you through every step of your building journey.
We provide genuine advice to ensure your building experience is enjoyable and as uncomplicated as possible.
Before we start on site
- Design – Work with us to design your home, your way.
- Quote – Achieve your budget and discuss all possible design and construction solutions.
- Investigate – We arrange a survey, soil classification and any other necessary investigation specific to your site.
- Draw – A fully detailed plan set is completed, ready for construction.
- Contract – Your building contract is presented and explained in detail so you can proceed with confidence.
- Engineers – Mandatory certifications are received, consulting with the best in their field.
- Selections – Meet with our creative specialists to select the colours and fittings throughout your home to suit your style.
- Approvals – Necessary shire approvals are obtained.
- Scheduling – Your construction schedule is completed, ready to pass on to the construction team to build your home!
Once you are building
- Site preparation – Earthworks cut and fill and service prelays are completed
- Slab pour – Your footings and slab are laid.
- Walls – Walls are erected, and your home starts to take shape!
- Roof frame – Roof frame is installed, and eaves lined.
- Roof plumbing – Gutters and roof cover will now protect your home from the elements
- Tubes – The Electrician and Plumber install all pipework and cabling through your roof and walls
- Wall and ceiling lining – As we start lining your walls and ceiling, you will get a good feel for how your finished home will look.
- Lockup – Glazing is installed and our Fixing Carpenter will install your doors and shelving. Your home is now locked up and on the home stretch
- Cabinetry – Cabinet makers install the cabinetry to your Kitchen and all wet areas
- Tiling – Your wet areas will get a screed, be waterproofed and tiles laid
- Finals – Our Electricans and Plumbers return to install appliances, fit off tapwear and light points and test circuits and plumbing
- Fitout – All final finishing items are installed in your home, including blinds and main floor coverings.
- External works – External finishing items are completed including brick paving, and your garage door is installed
- Practical completion – We walk you through your new home to explain how everything works so you can settle in with ease.
- Key handover – You receive your new home keys!
